Turkey and Black Beans!

Hi Housewives!

This is your bonus recipe because I skipped last week!  Rosie, one of my BFF’s, gave me this tasty and healthy recipe to try out.  I was skeptical about it at first but after my first taste both my husband and I absolutely loved it!  It was quite flavorful yet healthy.

Turkey meat are one of those things where besides burgers, tacos or meatloaf what else do you do?  This is something different and I think you will love it too!

  • 1 package of ground turkey meat
  • 1/2 large onion chopped
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 can of black beans rinsed over
  • Siracha
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • shredded lettuce
  • halved cherry tomatoes

Heat olive oil in a skillet.  When heated add your chopped onion and brown.  Add your turkey meat and cook through.  When meat is cooked add the black beans and cook for 5 minutes.

Add to a plate and season with your siracha, how much you add is entirely up to your taste.  Top with tomatoes and cheese and lettuce.
